The PYA represents yacht crew worldwide
The PYA represent the entire luxury yachting community (all departments) at the highest administration level.
To date this has mainly been focused on regulations for the Deck and Engineering department, however under the Maritime Labour convention all crew or “seafarers” including the Interior department, are now under this regulatory umbrella. The PYA works hard to ensure legislation and regulations governing working practices at sea take into consideration the practicalities of the luxury yacht industry, rather than just being focussd on the other maritime sectors such as commercial shipping.
