Lauren Norton

Lauren has over 11 year’s interior experience in the super yacht sector in senior positions, which included working on yachts from 43 metres up to 100 meters.

Lauren took it upon herself to learn as much as she could about every aspect of her job to better improve her skills and ability to train her team. This included studying wine, silver service, laundry care, sewing and care for delicate surfaces and training as a Butler in the British Style.

Her roles over the years expanded to encompass not only training and leading the on-board crew but also setting up and training villa staff and leading the interior department on new build projects.

Lauren was tasked with overseeing the interior build and launch of a 100m yacht, which was at that time the biggest produced by luxury yacht builders Feadship in the Netherlands. In 2013 the yacht launched and won several international yachting awards among them the coveted “Motor yacht of the year” Neptune.

Having retired to start a family and move land based in 2015, Lauren has been working in recruitment for luxury yachts as well as training for the British Butler’s Institute around the world, and more recently joining the South African Yachties family.

Laurens experience and passion for hospitality and service coupled with her ease for teaching, had led to follow her dream and she has now opened her own GUEST training school to impart her knowledge and skills so as to raise the bar in stewardess training.
