After 20+ years in the yachting and estate management professions, Elaine is now sharing her extensive knowledge and experience with her students. Her hands-on approach in everything interior she trains her students in the subjects they need to know to be professional yacht stewardesses and estate managers.
Elaine started her yachting career in 1991, with travels as far as the Antarctic, Cape Town, Singapore, the Mediterranean Seas, and the Caribbean.
She has worked in many positions needed to assist owners with new builds, refits, selling and purchasing several yachts during her years on board. Through the yachting clientele, she also worked in estate management in Bariloche, Argentina, Central Park West, NYC and several estates in Palm Beach.
Elaine has extensive experience in all facets of the management of estates and yachts. She teaches how to successfully hire, train and supervise staff in a team atmosphere. Her classes include creating computer-generated lists, inventories and work sheets necessary for any job tasks the students would need.
As a student you will be taught all aspects of personal service, including a thorough understanding of the need for privacy and discretion required when working with wealthy clientele of various cultures.
Her hobbies include millinery, gardening, travel, and interior design. She is very creative, and well-known for novel thinking and the ability to “whip something up” at the last minute when needed.
