Angelique Besseling

  With over 10 years of working in Hospitality, Angelique’s passion came from her childhood years influenced by her grandfather, a hotel owner, she was inspired to follow in his footsteps.

After graduating Hotel Management School, Angelique gained work experience in various restaurants, hotels, yachts and cruise ships.

With Holland America Line she had the chance to fulfil several positions, including Assistant Beverage Manager, Assistant Maître 'd and finally becoming the Beverage Manager. Where she had the opportunity to create wine lists as well as staff training.

This led Angelique to another passion by learning extensively about wines through the internal wine courses and learning from the Corporate Beverage Manager.

With 3 years working in the luxury yacht sector, Angelique was further inspired by working with a colleague who had several years of experience as a sommelier.

Now, five years later Angelique is finalizing her SDEN 4 Viticulturist Wine training and is excited to hold a professional qualification so as to inspire her students to becoming well-trained wine connoisseurs of the future.
